 Margerie Hicks - Information on Denver, Colorado public and private schoolsMargerie Hicks is the author and publisher of two guides to Colorado schools, Colorado Private Elementary and Secondary Schools and The Guide to Metro Denver Public Schools, which have been published biennially since 1992. She also produces Child Care and Preschools in Metro Denver, which has been published biennially since 1996. Margerie is a former classroom teacher with a degree in child development/elementary education, whose expertise on educational issues, trends, and programs is the result of her extensive, on-going research for the books.

Thousands of Colorado parents have used her books, made available through most book stores and libraries in the state and now on the Internet. She has consulted with relocating employees for corporations, such as Sun Microsystems. Her school information is a vital resource for Realtors, educational consultants, relocation companies, school counselors, local chambers of commerce, human resource departments, and more.

Ms. Hicks is the parent of two adult children who have had very different educational needs. Her school guides are the outgrowth of searches to find the right programs for her own children and of her belief that parents should know the educational options for their children.
